A Easy Going Blue Mountains wedding at the Parklands Country Gardens Blackheath
It was the hottest day on record in Sydney, hitting a top of 44 degrees by the mid afternoon. This wedding was held at the Parklands Country Gardens Blackheath, right in the heart of the Blue Mountains. We managed to escape the heat, only slightly, it reached 40 degrees there but it was HOT!
Luckily there are some amazingly tall trees that provided some much needed shade from the burning hot sun.
The Parklands Country Gardens Blackheath has some amazing locations for wedding photography, and best of all, you don’t have to travel far to find it. There’s little lakes, forest, mountain views just all minutes from each other.
How’s the venue like?
The lodge is a beautiful country hotel, right in the middle of Blackheath. It just had a million dollar refurbishment, and I can see why it’s a popular spot for weddings in the Blue Mountains. It’s secluded, private and just stunning. There’s huge willow trees which look amazing plus provides a nice bit of shade. The owners of the wedding venue have done amazingly well to make it look this good.
It’s small and cozy and suits a smaller wedding, as the case with my clients they had 80 of their closest friends and family present.
It’s easy to see why the Parklands Blue Mountains is a very popular wedding venue in the area. It’s got plenty of beautiful locations to take your wedding portraits after the wedding without having to travel anywhere. The interior of the hotel is just amazing! The architects and designers have complimented the surrounding area and it feels like a mountain retreat, with that old world feel that’s so comfortable.
The Food
And what about the food may you ask? Well if you ask me it’s pretty amazing. I had the pleasure of sampling their eye fillet steak and it was DELICIOUS! All of the other food looked really good too, but as a wedding photographer I only get to have one while I look jealously at what the guests are having.
The great thing about this wedding venue is that everywhere you go, it just looks really good. Parklands Country Garden is completely secluded and has it’s own 28 acres of manicured grounds, reminiscent of a European estate in a natural Australian bush setting. I think it’s a lovely combination that works a treat for wedding photography.
If you’re sitting on the fence to whether Parklands Country Garden Blue Mountains is the right place for you, then I’d highly recommend you put them on your shortlist. It’s just got everything you need to make your Parklands Country Garden wedding amazing!
